Place the code in the appropriate location of the **single post template (single.php)** or the **sidebar template (sidebar.php)**.

If you need random posts from **different categories**, you can use the code below.

 

 

This will display **5 published posts in random order** (the 1st parameter is the number of posts, the 2nd controls random order, and the 3rd filters published status).

Note that without the 3rd parameter, it may also show draft posts.
