Can SEO skills be mastered simply by posting news articles? Below I will share my personal experience to prevent such misunderstandings from happening when promoting SEO services in the future. To this question, I can only say that this is a naive view. Although regular content updates are fundamental and one of the most important parts of SEO, relying **only** on posting news is far from enough to reach the front page or maintain stable rankings. Why?

 

First, if your website has low authority, updating news alone can only slightly improve rankings. How far it can go depends on how well you control the rhythm of SEO. Too few updates will prevent you from ranking high; too many will lead to over-optimization. This balance is crucial.

 

Second, your competitors are already ahead in optimization. Your user experience and search engine crawl friendliness may be weaker than theirs. In this case, you need real SEO techniques, not just news updates. So posting news is only the **first step** of SEO.

 

Finally, building an in-house SEO team is costly. A single SEO professional now earns at least 6,000–7,000 RMB per month. A team of three would cost over 20,000 RMB monthly — enough to cover a full year of SEO services from an internet company. Even if you can afford it, working alone will never achieve the desired effect, as you lack the experience to handle comprehensive SEO work. Therefore, hiring a professional internet company for maintenance is the best choice.

 

 

You can understand why clients have such ideas. But SEO is not as easy as it seems. Whether in terms of results, cost, ranking stability, or team building, it is a meticulous and professional job.
